Current officeholders · 2022–2026 · as of 3 November 2026
Note on this list
Composition follows the official directory. On 3 November 2026 the Government announced Mustafa Ružnić’s resignation and continued caretaker operation. An announcement of another government’s constitutive session on 12 August 2026 conflicts with the directory and November announcement; ministerial appointment dates and parties are unconfirmed.
The assembly speaker nominates the prime minister candidate after consulting the deputy speakers; the candidate proposes ministers and the assembly confirms the government.
Assembly speaker
Nominates the prime minister candidate in consultation with the deputy speakers.
Elected in 2026 · 2026–2030 · as of 3 November 2026

Source coverage: 97 of 98 seats in the body.
Note on this list
Elected at the general elections of 4 October 2026, according to the results the Central Election Commission confirmed on 3 November 2026. The body has not been constituted yet. A mandate passes to the next candidate if an elected person refuses it or suspends it, so the composition can change before the constituting session. CIK prints candidates' names in capitals; they are shown here in normal case, and where CIK's results export gives a name in Cyrillic, that original is kept as well. List names are shown as CIK publishes them; those published in Cyrillic are transliterated into Latin script. According to CIK's statement of 24 Oct 2026, the 14th compensatory mandate (coalition HDZ BiH, HSS SR, HSP BiH, HKDU, HSP AS, HDU, HSP HB, HRAST) remains vacant because the list is exhausted; CIK is requesting a supplementary list. The results export (CSV) also marks Željko Nedić of that coalition in electoral unit 2 as elected; he is not listed here until CIK publishes how that mandate is filled.

How this office is filled
98 representatives are directly elected for four years: 73 in 12 multi-member constituencies and 25 Federation-wide compensatory seats.
Voters registered for the Federation
Vote directly by secret ballot for a list and candidates in their multi-member constituency. The same ballot also counts towards compensatory mandates.
Allocates seats proportionally to lists and then to candidates under the statutory ordering; allocates compensatory seats from separate lists while protecting the constituent-peoples minimum. Confirms and publishes results.
Lists below 3% of valid constituency votes do not participate in allocation. Votes are divided by odd numbers 1, 3, 5, 7 and so on, with seats awarded to the highest quotients.
A continuing executive officeholder from the previous term must suspend the new legislative mandate before the constitutive session; the next candidate on the same list replaces them.
Each house adopts its rules and elects a speaker and two deputy speakers by majority vote; they may not be from the same constituent people or the Others.
The prime minister and speakers of the two houses must belong to different constituent peoples or the Others; following the Federation president’s election and prime minister’s appointment, the houses ensure compliance.
The other house is expected to act within 45 days; otherwise the law must appear on its next session’s agenda, no later than 30 days after that deadline.
